I have purchased three different digital spike finders in the past and none of them worked properly. At any moment they seem to be 50% accurate and I ended up banging loose screws in the drywall or an anchor against a stud. It's annoying and sometimes confusing. Then I bought this one because I wanted to try something different. I'm a big fan of high tech, but sometimes I find low tech jobs where there's no high tech, so I thought what the heck. I bought this, walked it up the wall with it and it immediately found the bobby pin. Tested bottom and top in the same area and got caught on the nails every time. I tape things to walls a lot, and this thing - pardon the pun - got me nailed. This greatly simplified my work and eliminated all guesswork. I mean hell even my 6 year old daughter uses this thing and she loves helping me find studs! I will be buying more of these soon!
