It works so well - it's so easy and convenient. I was afraid to hang the heavy part of the wall until this one came. The fact that it's sticky (and has one level) makes it so user-friendly. Tip (maybe everyone already knows this, but I just found out): Use painter's tape to "measure" the distance between the holes on the back of what's being lifted. Then use this as a guide on the wall.

I have to admit, but until recently I didn't know such a magnetic rod finder existed! We had a gentleman install several cabinets and he had one. I have used electronic pickups and small magnetic switch pickups but this one outperforms them. How much more accurate can a spike finder be than this one? Once the magnets find the nails holding the drywall to the studs, it just hangs there. The included level and plumb make it even better.

I'm a carpenter by trade and finding bolts to fasten cabinets is always a challenge. Preferably. The super strong magnet will find the drywall screws and you can just leave it hanging there as it magnetically sticks to the screw. The original Stud Buddy has almost completely replaced all of my electronics (the super strong magnet allows the tool to hang on the wall unaided, leaving your hands free).
