I like that it's made of aluminum alloy and doesn't use a plastic ball that can break. The phone mount is very compact and not bulky like plastic ball socket mounts. I wish it had a grip around the screw to tighten the phone holder as that would make gripping to tighten/loosen the phone in the holder much easier. I would suggest using a retainer or something similar on all mounting bolts to prevent loosening due to bumps in the road. I just received this and unless I overlooked something that would pose a problem I would have no hesitation in purchasing another.
