Review on Adjustable Handheld Shower Bracket With Brushed Brass/Gold Finish - No Drill Installation Required by Clay Ijaz

Gamechanger! for my opinion

My husband is 92 years old and he needs to sit down to shower. I replaced our standard shower head with a "6 Functions Handheld Shower Head Set Hopopro High Pressure Shower Head High Flow Hand Held Showerhead Set with 59 Inch Hose Bracket Teflon Tape Rubber Washers" purchased from ebay. It's really nice but it was mounted too high for us to easily reach it making it less than what we wanted. I decided to look for a bracket that would allow us to mount it lower down on the shower wall. This one got really nice reviews and I decided to give a try. It's wonderful! As to installing it. I cleaned the tile where I intended to place the bracket with rubbing alcohol and carefully dried the area. I used the mounting adhesive provided and held the bracket in place with the "tape" provided. The instructions are somewhat lacking but I was able to figure out what to do. I peeled the backing off the "tape" before placing the bracket on the tile (something they should tell you to do). Once I had that done I put the adhesive on the back of the bracket and placed it on the wall. I put the tape across the bottom of the bracket and made sure it was adhered to the wall. I removed the tape 48 hours later and placed the hand shower in the bracket. The fit is perfect and we can move it up and down and sideways so that the water goes where we want it to go. The adhesive appears to be similar to Liquid Nails and if that is the case I am confident that the bracket will stay where I put it.I have added a picture of my husband sitting in the shower (he said it was okay) so that people can get an idea about where this bracket can place the shower head. He can easily reach it while seated in order to move it or remove it to rinse off. This one little bracket has made an incredible improvement in both of our lives. It has given my husband a measure of independence in the shower and I no longer have to hold the hand shower over his head while he bathes.

Pros
  • Opening is too small for my handheld shower, but it works
Cons
  • The bracket may not hold up against high water pressure
