Review on πŸ‘ž BEAMNOVA Leather Cobbler Sewing Machine: Industrial Heavy Duty Shoe Repair Equipment with Needles - Perfect for Canvas, Cotton, Linen & Crafts by Amy Mcleod

Brilliant! Worth every penny!

This is a great alternative to other more expensive leather sewing machines. The yarn it comes with is rubbish and save yourself the headache. I used the C&C upholstery machine thread I had for my Singer and later bought leather overlock thread from local JA's. I was able to do some large jobs that I didn't want to hand sew: repair a 6 ounce leather halter, repair a 6 ounce harness, repair nylon saddlebags for my horses, and design a new layered leather belt about 10 ounces thick for my husband. There was nothing he couldn't handle. If it stops sewing, replace the needle - it's probably dull, I would estimate around 100-200 stitches per needle for my projects. As with any machine, you must set the material parameters before using it in your project. The carving path is similar to any other machine. The spooler is junk, hand spool and practice with the settings to find the settings that work for your projects. Overall I love this thing and it has a permanent home next to my old singer and surfer.

Pros
  • UPDATED VERSION - Body painted finer, won't chip or rust. The column's iron frame was replaced with a galvanized aluminum alloy. Lighter and more portable.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
