The description of this item clearly states that it will work with natural and synthetic corks. Of course, I didn't come across many synthetic corks, but didn't you know that the first bottle I took to test had a synthetic cork when I received it? The worm entered easily enough, but just slipped back out when trying to remove the cork. I reconfigured and tried again with the same result. The cork will NOT come out. First bottle try and this thing was 0-1. I remembered reading the description that said it could be used with natural and synthetic corks, so I looked at the instructions that came with it. Page 8 recommends only 2 things to "care" for this product. (Picture attached for reference) 1. Do not immerse in water. 2. Do not use on synthetic plugs. So yes, completely false advertising by the seller. If removing the synthetic cork really worked, I probably never bothered to read the little manual and would never have known, but if it literally doesn't even budge the synthetic cork and the manufacturer himself says use don't jam it with synthetic traffic - it goes backwards.
