I was suspicious after reading some of the reviews, but the Netgear R6300 router has made me happy so far. Installation was quick and easy and the signal is good throughout my home and 3 acres. I can get a signal even in my metal (aluminum) airplane hangar. The 5G (or AC) signal didn't give any extra bands compared to the N signal, but it seemed faster. I especially like the Genie software as it makes setting up four networks quick and easy. Four nets? Two home networks, one 5G only for AC(5G) compatible wireless devices and one for older devices with B, G or N. Then two more guest networks are split in the same way. I prefer to let my kids use the internet as the router allows me to filter content by device so the kids don't see anything they shouldn't and adults have full access. There are many other features that I haven't used, but everything I've used seemed to work fine. Without a doubt the best $35 Revain router (used)!
