It does what it says in the description. It cools exactly as much as it is designed. It's really convenient and easy to set up. However, I believe you will need tape to hold the area where the vent tube connects to its outer outlet or slot as it has a high tendency to slip out of the hole. This exhaust air is very hot and MUST be discharged to the outside! But it cools the room it's reading very well and is very easy to use and put into positions, just like good reels. I haven't had any breakage issues with the one I have so far and it has worked A LOT.
