WILL NOT CHARGE my Garmin - it's the
I bought this for our trip to Hell's Gate State Park. When I connect my Garmin with this cable it says "Preparing to transfer data" and then tells me that my Garmin CANNOT be charged with this cable. Good to know when you're miles from anywhere!

Turn the device off and on again. 3. Connect the USB cable directly to the device and the other end to a USB port on your computer, not a hub or docking station. Train station. The device should automatically switch to mass storage or MTP mode as indicated by the image of the GPS device connected to the tower on the GPS screen.
