I bought this because Gigabyte products have been well supported in the past - for example I emailed their tech support about a BIOS issue and they emailed me a corrected firmware within a few days, to flash my bios chip. . It's insanely amazing. But first you have to show me yours and I'll show you mine. I received an RMA number for it and that was it. No shipping schedule, no idea how long it would take them to test/evaluate the board and determine if it's broken and then how to ship the replacement back - is it FedEx? Over night? 2 days? No idea. But they expect to get the defective device back first. Advance replacement, or at least cross-shipping, is no longer an issue "due to COVID restrictions," said a support rep I spoke to over the phone. I'm having a very hard time finding reasons for how COVID is affecting a simple CC on file to send a replacement before the bad one gets here. If the board is ok, send it back and charge the customer, or if the customer doesn't send it back, charge a new board! Simple, easy, painless, no risk to the company. Why is that a problem you ask? Because the motherboard is your computer. When you take it out, the computer isn't there, so you're now disconnected for an unknown amount of time. Can't work, bad situation, I'm out of the office and can't move to another station while mine is being repaired. early replacement - no. So now I have to buy another board which means I will pay twice for the same product due to ill thought out company policy. Of course, I don't like spending double the money on a motherboard and can't sell it back for the same amount or ask for a refund from the company. Obviously I will not order another Gigabyte product, I will choose ASUS which for some reason has no issues with CC-Hold advance exchange "due to COVID restrictions". The product got 1 star because it works halfway - 2 is okay. /4 RAM slots full but not all 4. Tried all 5 permutations of 2/4 chips of the same RAM - no hangs, XMP profile or not. As soon as I put flash drives in all 4 slots the board freezes. Latest BIOS firmware. It's not RAM as it doesn't freeze when paired in any of the 5 ways.
