Review on Discover the Versatility of Handy Hands Book in Silver: A Must-Have Resource by Sasha Hsiao

After seeing a demonstration of needle weaving I was intrigued and this book was recommended as an excellent teaching tool. Needles are no longer available in local stores, but they are included in this book. Each photo is clear and simple, and I was able to create a butterfly and bookmark right away. The book teaches how to read tatting charts. Needle weaving seems less complicated than shuttle weaving, but the results look the same. I'm still a beginner, but I want to keep practicing and learning more complex patterns. This book is a good start. Added April 2013: I made 35 bookmarks to give friends their Christmas cards and everyone wanted to know how i made them. Now I'm working on snowflakes and hearts (there are no diagrams in this book) for the upcoming holidays. There are many tatting pattern books out there, but most of these are for the shuttle. Look for books on tatting until you become an expert in this art form.
