Instead of moving a cable box around the patio, we bought one of these a few years ago and hooked it up to our DVR. When we moved in we used it on our screened in porch. We had some issues and didn't know if it was the device or our ISP. Obviously it was our provider. We decided to leave the new block as a backup. That thing is damn cool! All you need is a WiFi connection and an ISP in your home and you're done! (The new owner of our old house called me trying to find out how we were watching cable tv outside. Told him and now he's a proud owner too! Never had any problems with the unit or reception. Worth the money and pays for itself with no Do you need another cable receiver for outdoor use!
