It does everything I wanted except accuracy. The exposure indicator on the back helps you determine lens aperture based on distance and film ISO. To be honest I tried that by looking at the distance mark on the lens and then looking at the right hand column for the ISO film. I found it was one stop behind. I don't know if it was just in the specific unit I received due to a manufacturing error or if they didn't take the time to calibrate properly. But just take the aperture value and divide it by 2. For example, if it says f/5.6, then open the lens to f/2.8, for f/8 choose f/4, and so on.
