i did need a rubber mallet for the installation and the left side did not slide down the track easily, like the right side

Yup. bought these for my 2010 highlander. i did need a rubber mallet for the installation and the left side did not slide down the track easily, like the right side. but even then, total install time was 30 minutes. they work great. probably more than half the cost of manufacturer product.

Nice rack for the money. It is lower then I'd like but will work for our needs.
