The product is counterfeit / they have no support

Do not buy this product if your computer does not have a CD. They provide a legacy Dropbox link as an alternative to downloading drivers/software. The link is "banned" in Dropbox. I'm also quite tech savvy so I went online to try and find the driver/software via forums or alternative means and the internet is full of people putting malware in packages for this thing. Overall my experience with this product has been incredibly disappointing and it's clear whoever runs the business has this thing on autopilot. If you go to their website they have no contact info, no support page, nothing.
