This went into my 71 GMC pickup to replace the factory goggle distributor. To be honest I've never owned a points car and couldn't get the truck to work with this original setup. Just make sure you are on the #1 plug wire with the rotor before removing the old distributor and the installation should go smoothly. The truck now shoots very well even with a standard spool! You really can't beat the market prices!
