Recyclable plastic sandwich bags made from sugar cane. What a concept! ! I feel a lot better with these bags as they are from a renewable source. But does that necessarily mean that they break down better in landfills or in our oceans than traditional plastic sandwich bags? These are zip pockets. There are 175 sachets in the pack. Unlike many competing products, the packaging is designed to transport the product, not necessarily to release it. This makes the packages difficult to store and use as they are all thrown into the package. I also found these bags to be smaller than many sandwich bags. They won't hold a full-size sandwich, although they can hold sandwiches cut in half or small pieces.
