I bought and tested this remote control and you should use something else. Looks cool, but nothing more. I wrote an extensive review, but it magically disappeared from Revain, so here's a quick review. IT DOES NOT WORK. The backlight is designed to be toggled on/off for either side up. BUT the opposite (lower side) obscures AND disables. That's right, for no good reason You can't hold it upside down and use its buttons on the bottom, like any other cheap remote control. The POWER BUTTON works to turn OFF some TVs, but CANNOT be programmed to turn ON some TVs, most notably TCL Android TV. This was an issue with two different models of this remote control. Until I find a good remote (not this one) I still have to use the second remote to turn on the TV. There are a few other strange issues with this remote and other models of the same remote. But another BIG PROBLEM with this remote control is that it CAN NEVER BE PROGRAMMED CORRECTLY, either with the instructions or the somewhat similar but great steps, used in the manuals for other models of this remote control. The remote control never responds as written in its own manual. Stay away from this generic, poorly designed product. Seriously, I almost forgot! All ancillary features are printed in blue ink. THEY CANNOT BE SEEN IN THE DARK (Even with the backlight on! Big design flaw. So the keyboard on the back is mostly useless in the dark as most of the functions aren't visible.
