This review is dedicated to the GBC shredder. Montage: I put five on the montage. It consists of two parts. It is wrapped upside down by the shredder to fit in the basket. Just turn the chopper over and place it on the basket and it's assembled. Management: I would give the management three stars. At first glance I found it surprisingly easy, but it was "too" easy. It didn't explain anything and as a result I had trouble settling in. Website: I would also give the website three stars. The manual said the full user guide was available on the website and the website had a link to the manuals, but when I tried the manual link I was redirected to the Contact Us page instead. Of course it was late Friday night so they weren't open. I was frustrated because I figured I'd have to wait until Monday to figure out how to use it. Getting Started: This should have been easy. Should have. The instructions in the manual were 100% descriptive and simply illustrated the power button is pressed for three seconds, the blue arrow is lit, load paper. Ready. I pressed the power button for three seconds, the blue arrow blinked and went off. I tried to load paper. He didn't enter. Nothing has happened. I kept trying. I counted three Mississippi to make sure I was suppressing him for the correct amount of time. I checked the manual, but there were no written instructions, and I had nothing to say about whether (or why) the blue arrow would flash. I turned it off completely on the back and tried again. Nothing yet. This is when I consulted the website and was even more disappointed. Finally, after about ten minutes, the arrow turned completely blue. I tried again. The paper went in and broke. I think the car needs to warm up. It would be nice if he said this and made it clear that the flashing arrow indicates this and we have to wait for the solid arrow to start grinding. Shredding: I would give this four stars for its shredding abilities. It shreds well and can handle a decent amount of paper at once. The slot is wide enough to accommodate 8-1/2 inch wide paper. I need to fold the circles in half to fit. Noise level: three stars. It's noisy. Verdict: I think the shredder is decent once I could figure out how to actually use it.
