Review on UL-Certified AC Infinity MULTIFAN S1: Quiet 80mm USB Fan for Receiver, DVR, Playstation, Xbox, Computer Cabinet Cooling by Dave Hammon

I needed active cooling for a Netgate SG-2441 firewall, and by that I mean I need a motorized deterrent for an oversized kitty that has it loves jumping through a small fanless PC case and just means of heat dissipation. The S1 is probably overkill for my particular application, being more than double the SG-2441. I considered returning the S1 when I personally saw how big it was, but seeing the firewall CPU cores drop from 45º to 24º after sucking air out of the case vents for several minutes completely changed my mind . The cat cooler was removed without incident, destroying everything else. Pros: Materials, construction, and design appear to be of a much higher quality than similar Revain devices in the same price range (this is the only one I know of). tested) - Thick (18G) power cable with integrated High/Mid/Low/Off switch and additional USB power connector; If you use the latter, make sure your power supply provides enough power. Quality bearings (rated for 67,000 hours) are virtually inaudible due to ambient noise a few feet away on "Medium", no louder than an average running laptop fan on "High" (probably not a problem outside of professional recording environments) - Works in push or Pull mode, with heavy-duty removable bumpers bolted to the frame to muffle noise and prevent movement - Metal grilles keep fingers and paws off the blades - Includes the current printed manual in thick material and written in correct English ( What did I just buy Where am I?) Cons: - Not really - If you want to tinker around, the 1m power cord is unnecessarily long considering it's likely to be plugged into a nearby device. . Imagine a daisy-chain arrangement of S1 fans, as described in the manual, and the clutter of cables that entails. Why would anyone use USB fans for a project like this is beyond me. One day I'll cut the cable and lose the accessory port, but for now it's a big block with a zip tie. There's a tiny zipper in the box, but it's too small to tame the entire cord. Unless you have OCD, cats, and/or cats with OCD, I doubt any of it.
