"Great " if Google fixes recent issues

** Used to be good. What is the difference between day and night. We have been using a TP-Link N600 (WDR3600) router for about 2 years. That was enough in a small house of 1000 square meters. feet where we lived. When we moved into a slightly larger house, 1500 square meters. Feet, we noticed vulnerabilities that caused videos to buffer or display in unacceptable quality. Since the move, Asus OnHub has not only eliminated blind spots, but we've also gained serious coverage in the driveway and even to the stop sign down the street. The peace of mind that the router is always up to date with the latest security news and doesn't need to be rebooted is well worth the price. We connected the OnHub to a Netgear 8-port Ethernet switch (GS208) which is what you need given the 1st and only LAN port OnHub offers. There's no need to worry here as you can pick up a Switch for $20-$25. The only problem we had with the router was the configuration (DNS). We experienced intermittent delays in requests, so disconnecting and reconnecting to Wi-Fi was a temporary fix. Permanent solution? Using a DNS provider instead of the default Google Public DNS router. The Google Wifi staff on the phone were very knowledgeable and helpful. ================== Edit (18 months later): We noticed that some devices (especially iOS devices) show up as connected. to wifi but can't download anything. The solution was to turn off and on Wi-Fi on the affected device. This seems to be a known issue reported by other users from July 2018 to October 2018 now. Another current topic is area management. Devices now prefer 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz as before. We bought a second OnHub to set up as a secondary grid point in hopes of solving this problem, but the devices still seem to prefer 2.4GHz and want to remain locked to the previous grid point when moving. The maximum speed you'll get on the 2.4GHz band is around 80Mbps, which isn't ideal if you're paying for significantly higher speeds. The latest firmware is installed on both devices and I have performed several hard resets but the problem persists.
