I took a little time to determine the general features and ease of use of this monitor. Here's my personal opinion: I work in the electrical field as a specialist in industrial electrical automation. First off this 7 inch screen and case kit is more for the DIY, most Raspberry Pis are wizards but the reason I mention this is because there are no worthwhile instructions. To assemble this case. Changes are required. The biggest downside is that if you assemble this case in such a way that the ports for HDMI and Micro-USB will be stressed when connecting the cable. I have highlighted this in the uploaded images where you should place a total of 8 (minimum) 2mm small washers both from the main board and behind it. You must add these spacers and they are NOT included. This will also push the screen back so the screen is now not flush with the acrylic case for those who like bezel aligned screens. Another big issue is that the motherboard pictured doesn't match what I received. .There are two openings on the back of the case that allow n protruding SMD parts like a crystal oscillator. In another picture I point out that the oscillator is NOT where shown in the pictures in the listing, it is in a different location on the motherboard with no hole to allow the part to not load the motherboard. When such bits load onto the back of the screen, they can get pushed into the pixels, causing smudges and possible damage, which is a big no-go. This display has terrible viewing angles. When the case is constructed like this, you have to look straight at it or you'll get a huge blur of color. Side vision is good, but vertical up and down movements mean you can't see the screen even with the slightest movement. One final note on this review: another reviewer warned against trying this product before the return period has expired. I'm glad I took that advice. I connected multiple Pi, HDMI cables and power supply methods. This screen immediately started distorting colors, like an old CRT monitor from the 90's. Due to build issues and lack of performance I am returning this display. I was going to buy a couple of these to set up multiple monitors, but I'm not worried about that anymore. That's a shame as they're everywhere, but be aware that the screen in this kit has a terrible color wash, there are better alternatives for the money of this display. Other problems. The disc they provide is a homemade disc and it has scratches all over it making it unusable. I appreciate they provided these brass stands to attach the Raspberry Pi to the back of the case, but they are too big for the pre-drilled holes, meaning you'll have to modify the case by drilling. Not a big deal for some, but the screws they come with are larger than standard ATX computer case stands, so yes, they're too big for the Pi.
