Today I installed a new Genie StealthDrive Connect model 7155-TKV. Everything went smoothly, but the wires are missing. My main reason for buying this device was its ability to work with Alexa and my previous garage door was a genius and lasted 26 years. I have about 20 smart devices at home that are powered by Alexa. All I have to do is say "Alexa, turn on the lamp". or Alxa sets the temperature to 72 degrees", etc. With Aladdin I have to say "Alexa, ask Aladdin Connect to close the garage door", then it asks me for the password. I tell him my password and he closes the door. Time could almost go to the garage and push the button. I understand that I can remove the password, which makes it a little easier, but maybe it's just me and I'll get used to it, but I find "Alexa, Ask Aladdin Connect" a bit like a pattern and I have to undo and redo it from time to time. It just seems a bit awkward. Why can't I just say "Alexa, close the garage door"? I hope this lasts as long as my old gin.
