Bought these for travel. First, they are not as light as you think, the leg pocket is just as heavy as the big fins. Second, they have no power. I took them to Hawaii, tried them out once, went into a dive shop and bought a pair of nice light weight full leg fins. Everyone I saw wearing them (at the Captain Cook Monument on the Big Island, lots of dive boats) crawled as much as they kicked just to get somewhere. Another well-known couple, both experienced divers, took them to the Caribbean as reserves. and hated her. If you're traveling and want a lightweight pair of fins for backup, or expect nothing more than calm water and easy snorkeling, I'd take some zoomers or other lightweight fins for full leg (pool) swimming. I think they might be suitable for body surfing.
