Heel strap won't snap

They come with a knurled heel strap to allow for adjustment, but the strap pulls out of the latch when in use. Pulling the strap through the side latches while in the water is a real hassle. I have found that if the strap is threaded through the loop on one side, the strap is long enough to stay buckled longer. I've also learned to reach back and tug on them every few minutes to re-secure them.

Essential for traveling :)

I was a bit hesitant when ordering them for fear they might be tight. However, knowing that every foot product has a break, I ordered anyway. They are cool. They are soft and I can say that after a few wearing sessions they are perfect for the upcoming snorkeling trip. I think it's important to remember that all shoes, including fins, must be broken in before they are used for their intended purpose, otherwise problems can arise. A big plus is that they fit in my carry-on, leaving plenty of…

Good but tight for watersports

Pretty good. If you like it. Here it says 10-13 for men but on my leg 11.5 HERE. The length is ok but my foot is too wide for it. (Actually, I REALLY have pretty wide feet.) Regardless, I can still use it, just for a little while. Maximum 30-45 minutes. It's built pretty well. Can't find much to complain about. It's not a big fin, but it's not terrible. It's quite stiff, short, you have to make a lot of effort to move it, but you get decent traction in return. It's fine for the average diver…

Works well for its size, easily packs away

It's great if you're packing a lot, but you definitely compromise by having a smaller fin. However, for the light snorkeling we did, we were perfectly happy with it. They cut my legs a bit so the neoprene shoes helped a lot. I would also buy them if you are going to wear them for a long time (snorkeling 3-4 hours a day). Also note that this is a fairly limited market flipper. I mean, if portability isn't a HUGE issue, go for the bigger ones. You'll appreciate the effectiveness of large fins…

Poor fins for serious divers

Bought these for travel. First, they are not as light as you think, the leg pocket is just as heavy as the big fins. Second, they have no power. I took them to Hawaii, tried them out once, went into a dive shop and bought a pair of nice light weight full leg fins. Everyone I saw wearing them (at the Captain Cook Monument on the Big Island, lots of dive boats) crawled as much as they kicked just to get somewhere. Another well-known couple, both experienced divers, took them to the Caribbean as…

The specified size ranges are not correct.

I am very disappointed in these fins. They didn't even come close. I followed the size chart and double checked my work before ordering. As you can see in the picture they are for men who wear a shoe size between 10-13. The fins I received were correctly marked (same size as I ordered) but they were so small and so tight that I couldn't use them. They were really painful to wear. I ended up having to buy another set from another company (exactly the same size) and use it on my last trip. This…

Defective straps - fixed by the manufacturer

The heel strap latch is defective. Within minutes of using the fins, both heel straps were loosened. Attempts to balance the straps still resulted in the straps becoming loose and even pulling completely out of the latches. Eventually one of the fins fell off. What I think is a bigger problem is that numerous attempts to contact US Divers customer service for a solution have gone unanswered. I wouldn't have to repeatedly try to hit someone in the company to fix a bug on one of their products…
