Review on A15071400Ux0225 Diameter 12Gauge Heating Element by Elvis Kimbro

I bought this by mistake thinking it was nichrome but it turned out to be FeCrAl which is used in heating elements. But this actually worked better for me in my app. I made a variable resistor out of it and wrapped it around a one inch diameter rod to form a coil. The coil had 60 turns and its total resistance was 2.5 ohms which is 24 turns per ohm making it very handy to use as a variable resistance test resistor for loads up to around 20 amps. I have temperature tested the resistor and as reported with Kanthal type alloys it is fairly stable over a wide temperature range. So I'm glad I ended up with this one and it works great for me.
