My 2.5 year old can put these on himself! He has wide feet which made other rainboots really hard for me (am adult) to put his boots on but using the 2 side handles, he can do it himself. Once on, he can run around comfortably in them. I haven't noticed him tripping over his feet much.They're lightweight but they don't feel flimsy at all. I love that they're lined. He's worn them almost every day for a month and I've been impressed with their durability and sturdiness.
