This is a relatively light but strong construction. Clear lines and natural material harmonize well on the outside. Pet litmus paper is gone - dogs and cats love it and use it a lot. I would have preferred a slightly smaller opening as I suspect rain will come through, but didn't have enough time to verify this. If so, I can easily put a cover over it. The weather here in Sacramento is good for this build. The dog also uses it in hot weather because the wooden floor is a very good thermal barrier. I am very happy with this product as I did my homework and it fits well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the material is pretty light. On the other hand, the lighter weight is a plus as it is easy to move around.
