Looks good and as shown but very fragile. The wooden parts that make up the roof are particularly fragile and break easily.

Bought for indoor use as a shelter for my male dog. He loves to. He can hide from two girls and rest. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a lightweight indoor/outdoor doghouse.

House broken before assembly. It may have been damaged in transit, but the wood is very brittle and fragile. Not a heavy kennel. I will have to send it back as these damages are irreparable.

It looks much nicer in person - even my dad (who hates everything) thinks it's great. However, the semi-feral cat it was bought for hasn't decided this is his new McMansion just yet. Maybe all he needs is a sign over the door so he can call it home: Monroe's Cat House.

I bought this product 3 years ago and it "handled". I recently bought another house but the roof panels warped within 3 days leaving gaps between the battens. I called the company. They sent me a new house, not just new roof panels as I requested. That's rare for a company. Now I'm very happy.

It should be a harder wood. The wood used is too soft to hold the staples used in some designs. It started falling apart and I only had it for a short time. I took it apart to try and strengthen it before putting it back together and reusing it. The design is good, looks good and is easy to assemble. Just use better wood and fasteners than staples like paperclips.

We are pleased with Outback Country Lodge! It was the best value for money we could find. It is elevated, comfortable, all wood, attractive and of a good size. The assembly was also easy. Give your dog time to get used to the house, our dog needed a cozy towel and a cool breeze before he curled up properly indoors. I would recommend applying a clear coat with weatherproof seal before the rainy season. We can confirm it was exactly as described!

I arrived with an accident due to a serious design flaw in the roof structure. Both parts of the roof were broken along the front edge where a series of wooden braces weakened it and eventually split the wood in two. I used wood glue and screws to reattach the torn sections because I didn't want to mess with replacing - any replacement would likely have the same problem. It just took less work to fix. It is also made of very soft wood. You can crush it in your hand if you try. Looks and smells…

This is a relatively light but strong construction. Clear lines and natural material harmonize well on the outside. Pet litmus paper is gone - dogs and cats love it and use it a lot. I would have preferred a slightly smaller opening as I suspect rain will come through, but didn't have enough time to verify this. If so, I can easily put a cover over it.
