Why I bought it: I really wanted to love it because I heard it leaks less light than a wand cap and is more comfortable. I felt the standard silicone protective cap worked reasonably well, but leaked some light (perhaps due to the protruding bridge of the nose) and I never felt like it fitted snugly to my face along my cheekbones and nose. Why didn't that solve my problem? Stock Cap Issues: This cap, even with the included nose bridge, was causing MORE light to leak out than the stock cap and silicone protector I use. The grommet was unwieldy, and no matter how evenly I tried to place it evenly in the plastic mount, it kept bunching up and forming chunky patches that created an uneven seating experience. I could have pressed my face in by tightening the bandage over my head, but that was uncomfortable and didn't help light leak out. Unexpected Problems: Lately I've mainly been playing Echo Arena and other fast-paced games that make my heart beat faster. It's not uncommon for me to sweat a little, but this VRCover liner made the sweat pool and drip almost IMMEDIATELY. I used a silicone case for this and it didn't help at all, just bulkier, clumsier and still very sweaty. Sweating can make use impossible. I can use a quality silicone case over a standard case and it doesn't trap sweat as much as this one.
