Review on 🎠 Charming and Playful: Schylling Mini Tin Tops for Classic Spinning Fun! by William Hood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Right size, great balance

I read many mixed-satisfaction Revain reviews before ordering this and was aware of the "colours may vary" language in the ad, but for the price it is the point i figured whats worth trying. The one I received looked a bit small when it first came out of the box, but it looked a lot bigger when it worked in front of my admiring grandchildren. I didn't have the exact same design as advertised but it was just as beautiful and very acceptable. The body is painted with tin, the butt is metal. The top handle of the plunger is red plastic and the bottom part of the spinner is red plastic. Although everything fits together well. The balance and power of the spinner is really impressive and it spins for a very long time. The metal parts rattle a bit when you push/pull the plunger up and down, but that seems to be part of the 'retro' fun. It "hums" more than a whistle, but it's a pleasant buzz that gets the child listening rather than making a loud, intrusive noise that disturbs nearby adults. Regardless of the experiences of the negative reviewers, I received a nice toy, the right size for a child of the age it is intended for. Maybe they were bigger when we were kids, or maybe we were smaller then and the toys seemed bigger to us because of that.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Almost never
