This was the first time I've bought any kind of tire lube. Although this material has a "greasy" consistency, it does not dissolve in water, no matter how much water. We've tried lots of water, we've tried small drops, and none of them are better. Using this material lubricates the tire bead directly, but even if you try to be conservative with it, it goes very quickly. We used it to mount and dismount tires for semi-trailers. I think for smaller tires this will work better, for larger tires it's too expensive for the amount you should use if you use a lot of tires. It seemed better to me to just apply by hand, the brush didn't spread very well.
