I bought these needles for my grandma who wanted to start sewing again and I'm a bit in between with these. They are very strong and have good transparency, but the most important thing is that the needles are not that sharp at the top. Which wouldn't be a problem for a normal person, but my grandmother in particular doesn't have that good upper body strength and had a lot of trouble getting a needle through the thing she was sewing. I'd say it's very situational as to whether you buy them or not, for example if you know you or the person you're buying them for can thread the needle at all then it's fine, but if you do buy them for someone, like your grandparents, who doesn't. I don't have that much strength anymore I would keep looking. As I said, the value is good if you can thread a real needle. Of course this is not a 5 star rating but the quality of the needle is also excellent!
