New product for power drills

Let me start by saying I have never used an SDS Plus compatible tool. So I have nothing to compare. Before purchasing I settled for the regular Makita rotary hammer that came with my original kit years ago. I wasn't sure how much better it would be for drilling, but I decided to pull the trigger, mostly because I needed the chiseling feature. I install a water trap and drill through 2" unreinforced breakout walls. I drill smaller holes where I need holes for 4" and 6" tiles, chisel between them and knock them out with a sledgehammer. About an hour and a 5 -Amp hour battery dead, I had 3.5 3/8" holes in the receiver tank. It just wouldn't cut so I ordered it. Got a puncher today and had to try it right away. It takes about 10 minutes 3 seconds to use it to drill a 3/8" hole through 2" of concrete. After about an hour of playing with it, I already have 2 holes for my 6" tile. So 10-15 perimeter holes for each, chisel, Centering and more chiselling, this is a mud and water job as the water trap is already installed, it would be a lot quicker if I didn't struggle with mud and water over the bottom of the holes I'm making The hammer uses up batteries and heats up himself, but at the performance he delivers, that is to be expected. It's also long.
