Review on πŸ’» Optimized Starter Kit for Power Diagnostic Post Test of New Desktop PC and Laptop Computer Motherboard by James Lesley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The PCI postcard tester was a completely useless product to me

Updated/New Rating Upgraded from 2 stars to 5: Well I never really liked the taste of crow, but here we are. The seller contacted me after posting my review and asked if I would try another board if they shipped it. Well, I said yes, but I didn't expect him to do anything else. Well I was wrong as the new block works as advertised. The boy was shocked. After looking at the two devices and doing some comparisons, I see that there are some differences: the number printed on the silkscreen on the second board I received is 1615, while the one that isn't worked, 1815 was logic, the chip that runs the whole show, I can see that one side of the chip has serious soldering defects despite having a QC-OK sticker on it. The seven-segment display was red on the first device and green on the second. As you can see in the last 4 photos I posted, the display goes through the POST codes during boot and appears to be doing exactly what it was designed to do. Thanks to the seller for sticking with their product and sending me a working one. although I made no effort to get a refund or replacement from him. I tested this adapter on 3 pieces and none of them worked, all I got were dashes on the LCD. While the seller does everything to help and is very friendly and I give him 5 stars for his efforts, I am reviewing the product what a great guy he can be. Do yourself a favor and find the PCI postcard. You'll find several of these starting at $5, read the reviews and decide for yourself. I tested it on three motherboards: ASUS, MSI, and HP. The PSU tester works great and I didn't have a machine to test the laptop card so I can't comment on its performance at all. It also came in a nice zipped pouch which was an unexpected and very pleasant surprise. I kept the kit as I will be using the PSU tester and wrist strap and for the small coin spent it's not worth going to the post office to return.
