Review on ADC 703-11AV Diagnostix Aneroid Sphygmomanometer With Adcuff Cuff - Adult, Purple by Vincent Lott

Definitely makes the job easier.

However, I question the quality of the bulb, the release trigger, and the plastic "luer" slip connection point for the cuff to the gauge. I think that the connection point was very poorly designed. It's hard to tell if it's in far enough to create a seal and it feels like it will break if forced. I highly doubt the longevity of this piece, especially if inserted and removed regularly. I don't know why they didn't decide to go with a screw-type connector, and perhaps metal instead of cheap plastic. In conclusion: Nifty concept and probably worth the extra money over the cost of a standard one, but only if it lasts.

Pros
  • The instrument is easy to use, even for those who are not trained medical professionals
Cons
  • Outdated technology
