It was once a bargain at a price of less than 900, which is why it gained fame. Thermal paste lives 1-2 years, you should not forget to replace it. The stock cooler is too loud, for quiet systems you can change it to the budget Cooler Master O4-P2B-12AK-GP (you will have to modify it a little with a hacksaw) or the eminent Noctua NF-S12A PWM, both are inaudible up to 800 rpm with acceptable cooling. Mounting is not particularly difficult, but if you plan to shoot more than once every couple of years, then you should find a long hex 3570k in stock at 700 rpm (we only hear when we get close) and idle has temperatures on the cores from 40 to 32. Aida warms up the stress test to 56-58. I hope it will serve faithfully with the upcoming skylake.
