I had a gallery wall that needed hanging and kept moving it because I didn't want to deal with the placement of everything. It made the process a lot easier and I'm glad I bought it. It's not perfect, it has its limitations, but it was better than nothing. For me it had two major drawbacks: First, it doesn't work for the top row of frames because the tool is very tall. In my case it was above the desired distance between the ceiling and the top edge of the top frame. Second, this doesn't work for all types of fasteners. It seems primarily intended for use with some sort of attachment, which is a rope that connects to the frame at two points. I have not used this type and the tool has been successful with the different types I have used. All in all a decent tool, but I definitely wouldn't call it versatile.
