The magnifying glass is not very good, the clippers are sharp enough to cut without tension
You have to be almost over part of the magnifying glass to use it and it's not that good to start with. The clippers were actually much better, cutting cleanly and without tension. The last thing you want to do to a sleeping baby is a half-cut nail. So a clipper is good, it could be easier to hold, but buy a magnifying glass separately.
