fuel vent but I used them as a vent for fresh water storage tanks on my bus. I love that it mounts flush and protects the vent while not getting in the way. I can easily move heavy objects directly on it. They also sell this valve without a flush mount flange. It's more expensive, which doesn't make sense as it's the exact same vent with an extra piece to fit in a recessed hole. You can easily remove the flange if you don't want it to be flush mounted, and the bleed head is about 3/4" above the mounting surface. The device is of good quality and looks stylish.
