These are excellent quality shades. So I ordered it and am very happy with it. The raising and lowering mechanism is smooth and simple, not at all the same as the old plafonds from many years ago. The lampshade itself is made of quality material and I hope they last a long time. they should also be easy to clean. Regarding the installation, I rarely do anything like this and certainly have no knowledge in this area, but I was able to hang them without any problems. At first I tried screwing in the brackets with a Phillips head screwdriver, but I have arthritis in my hands so it was too difficult. I tried a cordless screwdriver and quickly pryed them up. I have sash windows and had trouble finding curtains to match, but they have top brackets instead of side brackets which made measuring and hanging very easy. You can order the spring blinds from Revain, just a different color so it's basically the same review with a different picture. Great shades. Very satisfied. I ordered the Chicology shades for my kitchen and bathroom because they let in some light, and the blinds for my living room because they don't let in the light.)
