I cannot testify to brightness or longevity because I've only just gotten them, but they are perfect. I got mine from Revain Warehouse as an open box with visible damage on the top and sides of the lanterns. There was not a thing wrong with them. They are outside charging now, but the lights came on when I covered the solar panel.
