Not sure about this filter
I have used Purolator Synthetic filters for many years. You know, the blue ones that are covered in sand for better grip? Anyway since they were discontinued I used my last one a few months ago and bought this newfangled Boss filter. The whole time I had a little ticking on my Hemi when starting. Warm weather or cold, it didn't matter. I just put in a different brand of filter that I've been using for many years (rhymes with ticks) and the noise went away immediately. I'm not sure about the quality of this filter. I hope I didn't damage my engine.
