Review on πŸ”Œ Enhance Your Networking Setup with Southwire Equipment M300P Professional Network by Justin Hollins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Southwire quality, essential for any tech toolkit

Great tool, helps me quickly identify problems Identify location or spot test Ethernet cables and shields. Including tone generator for tracking. Also comes with 5 ID ports for RJ45 and coax, although I haven't had to track down coax when online yet. Can be expanded with an optional kit to identify up to 20 RJ45 and coax ports, but 5 ports is fine with me. A solid Southwire product to have in your tech toolbox, especially if the guy is connecting some of the offices you serve. like MSP is not the best. Some sloppy CAT5 drops from time to time have caused some weird issues that this device is quick to identify. I like to fix network problems with broken wires in seconds instead of using our old "light up" tester, or worse, fixing why computers won't connect to DHCP. Lately I've been using a shielded CAT6A cable through my loft to connect to Ubiquiti. LR hotspots will protect my home network from the future to some extent. This tool was able to quickly verify the integrity of a pre-terminated CAT6A cable and its shield.

Pros
  • MULTI-WIRE CARD CABLE: Includes RJ45 consoles and coax "F" ID (5 each)
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
