This product is exactly as advertised! And it can save you a lot of money if you have a lot of free time and are lucky! My mechanical skills are above average and I watched a few youtube videos before taking on the project. Most videos lack cable adjustment, which is very important. In theory you only need 2 crimps (1 for each wire) but there were 8 in the kit and for good reason as I had to shorten 1 wire multiple times, requiring disassembly and reassembly each time. It was a royal pain to assemble and adjust properly. This saved my daughter about $700 compared to the cost of a new full assembly from the dealer (that's all they sell), but if she needs to fix the other side we'll go with a full assembly that's available online can be found for less than the dealer. .
