I can only assume the taste is good, they love it. I breed and show Collies and it is very important to me to have good food. I've prepared all of the highest quality food, from $80 for a 10 pound bag to slightly above average quality. This food ensures the healthiest coat and teeth in puppies. With Collies, think Lassie, the coat is EVERYTHING! I find the feed to be fairly balanced and not loaded with fillers meaning it provides a healthy coat without adding too much fat to the diet. This is an excellent food for maintaining a stable weight. I have never had instances where I was very fat or lost weight. I've spent hundreds on specialty foods and diets but I'm sticking with it for puppies and adult pedigree. This is my personal experience from 30 years of trying different products. Never use the science diet or blue.
