Very well finished product, excellent fit.

Product Quality This is a very solid, well made product. The canvas has some weight and is a good weight. There are no problems with the seam. I also like the large zippers. In winter it should work fine with gloves etc. on. Although we only got ours recently, we've ridden it about 10 miles on various types of terrain. We walked along washed-out creek beds, climbed up and down steep embankments, through dense thickets, deciduous trees and open, easily walkable paths. The package was convincing in all areas. The package does not move at all. It stays right where it should be focused on his back. I'll say that, but I was the same weight (canned) on both sides. Behavioral Benefits My dog showed no signs of discomfort, tugging, pulling, etc. She didn't even look back after the first 50 feet. or so. In fact, he seemed more focused while wearing it and was definitely getting more consistent. He's trained to walk to my left and not in front of me, but from time to time he tends to get distracted and stray about a foot further than he should. He didn't even need to be reminded as long as he was carrying the backpack. The impact of "having a job" resulted in a significant improvement in his attention span. The FitMy dog is an Airedale Terrier and has a fairly deep chest, thin waist and neck so I had some doubts that this would fit properly. The fit is maximum at his waist and almost maximum at his chest. neck is fine. I wanted to add some pictures with measurements for reference to help others who might be considering this pack. I know there are pictures of the dog on the product page but they say nothing about the dog. My dog stands 24 inches at the shoulder and her chest is 29 inches in diameter measured across the shoulder blades and just behind the armpits. He weighs 56 pounds. It's only 2 years old and probably needs some work so the extra length of the straps is a good thing. last thought I use a martingale collar just behind the ears and on the chin for all our outings, training, etc. I have done that. Do not use the ring over a backpack and to be honest I would not use it as a seat belt. I would probably just buy the right suspension for it. We are not currently doing any activities that require him to walk ahead of me (scent tracking, sledding, etc.). So we just checked it out as he walked next to me. The bottom line is that it's clearly intended as a backpack, not a seat belt. For those interested in being dragged behind a harness, you can explore other products.
