For added security an easy addition to your car I highly recommend this steering wheel lock. We travel a lot in my wife's Subaru Outback or my Ford Ranger and sometimes we feel more comfortable with an extra way to protect our car. I decided to give it a try and this is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to put on and take off. I can use it in any vehicle and it's small enough to fit under my seat. As a machinist I found it well made and the type of lock it uses cannot be picked. The hook at the end of the steering wheel is easy to attach to any car. The steering wheel plus has padding inside the hook to protect the steering wheel. They even give you an extra strip of stick on top of the stuffing to replace the stuffing. The fully folded rod measures 14 inches overall. When fully extended hook edge to hook edge it measures 26-1/4 inches. If you try to put it on the brake pedal and handlebars at the same time your max is basically 26-1/4". If you hook one end first you can get a few more inches. The bar also came with 3 keys Shown in the photos installed on a Subaru Outback and a Ford Ranger It was easy to install and quick to remove I have tried installing it both outside the car and after I was in the car and either way there was no problem To drop the steering wheel and hook pedal levers I recommend this as a simple and inexpensive way to protect your vehicle.
