Review on 🔧 Sony PS3 Disc Drive Replacement Laser Lens and Deck KES-400A/ KEM-400AAA Models + Nextec T10 Screwdriver Bundle by Christopher Cortez

This item was just what my PS3 needed. After looking through some web guides to diagnose why my drive is not spinning, I was able to determine that the laser in my console had failed. nextec laser and deck exchange is coming! I ordered the entire assembly, not just the laser, as they seemed to cost about the same. And this kit comes with a free Torx screwdriver! The item was well packaged and appears to be of good quality. But the best thing is that it works! Restoring the file system wasn't necessary, it just works like new. A few notes: My deck was labeled "KEM-400ACA" and the new deck was "KEM-400AAA". They appear to be identical. However, I found that the soldered on ribbon cable for the drive motor that moves the laser lens holder is not in the same path as the old one. (This may or may not be due to a difference in deck mount.) Since I couldn't figure out how to mount or route the new ribbon cable so it wouldn't interfere with the movement of the lens holder, I decided to replace the old ribbon cable motor with a new table. It was easy enough as there were only 3 screws to loosen.
