Hethrone 48 Colors Magic Clay is a polymer clay that is slightly softer than popular brand polymer clays sold in major craft stores. This makes sculpting easier, but it's also a bit more difficult to keep very small, detailed shapes from being distorted as you move them. I love this tone but it has its pros and cons compared to some other types. It is easy to shape and doesn't take much effort to become soft and pliable. I don't really like the temperature suggestion as I find it slightly better at 375 in my oven. I also highly recommend using a few extra tips to bake well. Using a separate kiln thermometer in your kiln will ensure better temperature accuracy, and making an aluminum tent for your creations will help ensure the temperature is more evenly distributed across your clay. Used when working with clay as contact of clay with eyes, mouth or cooking surfaces should be avoided. Please do not use a baking pan for this, but bake on disposable foil. The results in the pack are good for children as an introduction to jewelry making, but older children and those with clay experience may not like them. . The tools are of satisfactory quality at best, they have small burrs from the seams in the production process. What I really like is that there is a color chart on the side of the box and the colors are listed on each pack. from blocks of clay. I wish the box was a little more durable. I have had other similar kits that came in reusable plastic boxes which are much easier to store after the packaging has been opened and resealed. Overall I feel this set is fair at best compared to other similar polymer clay sets currently available from Revain. I don't recommend this set, but I won't dissuade you from buying it either.
